Anticipation is palpable for the 13th edition of Art Night Venezia 2024, the cultural celebration that lights up Venetian nights with many artistic and cultural events.

Organized by Ca' Foscari University Venice in collaboration with the City of Venice and the patronage of the Veneto Region, the event will take place on June 22, involving 145 cultural institutions in the city.

In addition to cultural experiences, tours, performances, concerts, exhibitions and workshops, Art Night Venezia 2024 will also offer activities dedicated to children, making the evening an unmissable opportunity for all citizens and visitors.

Art Night Venezia 2024 at the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin

Next June 22, the city of Venice is preparing to welcome an extraordinary night of art and culture with the long-awaited return of Art Night Venezia.

Organized by Ca' Foscari University Venice in collaboration with the City Council and the patronage of the Region, the event will be held at the striking Palazzo Giustinian Lolin from 6-10pm.

This year, Palazzo Giustinian Lolin will be the centerpiece of four unique events sponsored by the Levi Foundation, University of Warwick, Venice in Peril and renowned photographer Anna Zemella.

This international synergy represents a cultural bridge between Italy and the UK, uniting art, music, photography and restoration in one fascinating panorama.

Art Night Venice 2024: the details

The evening will kick off at 6 p.m. in the main courtyard of Ca' Foscari with the official opening, distribution of gadgets and institutional greetings.

The program will range through various points in the city, including the extraordinary opening of Palazzo Mocenigo and Ca' Pesaro thanks to the support of the City of Venice.

Enthusiasts will be able to visit the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa and enjoy film screenings for only 3 euros at the Astra, Giorgione, Dante and Rossini theaters.

Not to be missed will be the outdoor concert by Hybrid Music Ensemble at Albanese Park, accompanied by performances by the bands Deira and Androgynus, promoted by Glocal Sound.

Art Night Venice 2024: Exhibition "Uzbekistan: the Avant-Garde in the Desert"

One of the highlights of Art Night 2024 will be the major exhibition "Uzbekistan: the Avant-Garde in the Desert," hosted by Ca' Foscari, which showcases masterpieces from the Tashkent and Nukus Museums, including works by Kandinsky.

This exhibition is a unique opportunity to discover the art of Central Asia and deepen the cultural dialogue between East and West, in line with Marco Polo's centennial celebrations.

Art Night Venice 2024: the program

Levi Foundation will present the concert "The Sound of the Guitar from the Past to the Present. Journey Among the Six Strings," performed at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Led by Gioele Zorzetto and Simone Terren, the talented musicians will explore a repertoire that ranges from the South American rhythms of Heitor Villa-Lobos to the delicate tones of Francisco de Asís Tárrega to the complex compositions of Roland Dyens, offering a unique perspective on contemporary and classical music.

University of Warwick will open the doors of the new Warwick Venice Centre, opening in May 2023 in Palazzo Giustinian Lolin.

This center of excellence will be accessible to the public, offering an unmissable opportunity to explore the British university's academic and cultural activities in the heart of Venice.

Venice in Peril, the charity that has been dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Venice's artistic heritage for more than 50 years, will present an exclusive exhibition of historic images and footage from some of the city's most iconic construction sites.

This exhibition, which includes material provided by photographer Sarah Quill, will offer a privileged look at the works restored through the support of Venice in Peril, which has contributed significantly to the preservation of works of art and monuments.

Anna Zemella, the renowned Venetian photographer, will exhibit her exhibition "Metamorphosis," a visual ode to nature and history.

Her images capture ancient figures emerging from the past, harmoniously intertwining with natural elements.

A unique opportunity to reflect on the relationship between man and nature, transformed into a series of evocative shots that enchant and question at the same time.
