Lorenzo Quinn the Souls of Venice
Renowned artist Lorenzo Quinn is preparing to unveil his latest creation, "Souls of Venice," in a unique exhibition to be held in the enchanting setting of the Venetian lagoon.
The work will be on display from April 20 to September 15, in conjunction with the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death and the 60th Art Biennale.
Lorenzo Quinn the Souls of Venice: Symbols of the history and art of Venice
The "Souls of Venice" are composed of 15 statues made of intricate metal weaving, representing the most emblematic figures in the thousand-year history of the Serenissima.
This extraordinary work of art symbolizes the union and symbiosis between the lagoon city and its many artistic expressions, which have made Venice an immortal place in the world cultural landscape.
A prestigious venue
The exhibition will take place in the Androne of Ca' Rezzonico, a prestigious building overlooking the Grand Canal, designed by the famous architect Baldassare Longhena and home to the Museum of 18th-century Venice.
This choice is not accidental: it is the first time Lorenzo Quinn has created a work with a historical background specifically designed for a museum, enriched by the innovative use of augmented reality, which adds a poetic and magical touch to the artistic experience.
Lorenzo Quinn and the Souls of Venice: An event of cultural prestige
"Souls of Venice" is the result of a collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici and enjoys the patronage of the City of Venice and the Marco Polo 700 Celebration Committee, underscoring the importance and prestige of this event in the Venetian and international cultural scene.

As a preview to the main exhibition, a sculpture depicting Marco Polo, also created by Lorenzo Quinn (Anime di Venezia), will be on display at the Doge's Palace from April 6, welcoming visitors at the entrances to the Doge's Apartments.
This exhibit is part of the exhibition "The Worlds of Marco Polo.
