What is the Venice Night Trail?
For those who don’t know, the Venice Night Trail is one of the most beautiful races in Italy: a 16 km night run through the heart of the Serenissima, where you cross 51 bridges, zigzag through alleys and squares and breathe in the history of a unique city.
It’s more than a sporting event – it’s an emotional experience. Running through a sleeping Venice, with streetlights reflecting on the canals and the muffled sound of footsteps, left an unforgettable mark on every runner.
9th CMP Venice Night Trail 2025
The Venice Night Trail 2025 edition was the ninth and it was a huge success.
Organized by the Venicemarathon Club and sponsored by CMP, the event had over 4,000 athletes from more than 40 countries. A lot for a race as technical, scenic and logistically complex as this – but they managed to do it.

The race took place on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 with the start time at 9:00 PM. Perfect timing: the city was already dark but alive with the energy of the runners.
Start and finish lines were, as always, at the Venice Cruise Terminal, turned into a sports village for the occasion.
